Tax receipts are issued for the full amount of all memberships and donations. Memberships are renewed annually. The Couchiching Conservancy is an incorporated, federally registered charity - Charitable Registration No. 13972 5030 RR0001.

The Conservancy's goal is protection
of special natural areas of the Couchiching-Severn region for future generations. The Couchiching Conservancy is a non-profit, non-government Land Trust organization, registered in 1993 and affiliated with the Federation of Ontario Naturalists and the Ontario Land Trust Alliance.
